The Unisphere Performance Management application enables the user to gather, view, and analyze performance data to troubleshoot and optimize the storage systems.
About this task
For selected categories (those categories under the
Directors & Ports,
Storage Resources, and
System Internals headings), you can choose to view all instances of that type at one time, if the runbook does not have charts for related categories.
To create a runbook:
Steps

In the
Dashboards view, go to the Runbooks section.

Click
.
The
Create Runbook dialog is displayed.

Select a
Primary Category.

(Optional) Add a
Chart Title.

Select a
Chart Type. The options available are
Timeline and
Table.

Select the metrics that you want to add to the runbook.
To add all the KPI metrics for this category, select
KPI Metrics.

Click
Add to Runbook.

(Optional) To add more charts to the runbook, complete the following steps:

Click
ADD PRIMARY CATEGORY CHART or
ADD RELATED CATEGORY CHART.

(Optional) Add a
Chart Title.

Select a
Chart Type. The options available are
Timeline and
Table.

If you are adding a primary category chart, select the metrics that you want to add to the runbook.

If you are adding a related category chart, select the related category and then select the metrics that you want to add to the runbook.

Click
Add to Runbook.

(Optional) To change the number of columns in the chart, select a new chart format from the menu at the upper right of the dialog.
You can choose a chart with one, two, three, or four columns.

(Optional) To preview the current unsaved runbook, click
Preview.

When all the required charts have been added to the runbook, click
Save.
